Chief Technical Officer

Aufgaben

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To assist in the design and procurement of material and components for development, in-house and field tests. Updating, maintaining and creation of drawing data packs (EBOMs) of new and existing products. And to assist the Design Engineers and Project Managers, ensuring that related development projects, contracts and programs are managed effectively and timeously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To create, update and check all technical drawing data packs.
  • To ensure that all technical drawing, electronic data are filed and maintained in the agreed upon system on the network.
  • To prepare manufacturing data packs for products and associated specialised tooling.
  • Assemble, procure and test prototypes.
  • Procure and commission specialised development tooling.

Profil

POST REQUIREMENTS:

  • NQF 5 technical qualification or trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification with 10 years related experience.

OR

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years’ experience.
  • Management in Explosives (UNISA).
  • Experience in Explosive manufacturing and assembly.
  • Experience in creative technical environment.
  • Knowledgeable to Explosives practices, regulations and rules.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/2000 and ISO 14001 and other related international standards.
  • Good problem solving and client relationship skills
  • Good interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills
  • Good communication, planning and organizing skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office packages, 3-D design packages).
