Aufgaben
Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) is a defence engineering company based in the UK. We design, manufacture and support military vehicles used by the British Army and international customers.
Support the Boxer MIV and CR3 programmes to successfully implement/deliver the Boxer MIV/CR3 contracts, along with the other commercial activities required as part of the project lifecycle. This will include, among other things, bid approval, contract negotiation and resolution of contractual issues.
Place of work: RBSL, Telford
Hybrid work: minimum of 2 days a week on site in Telford
Travel: travel to customer sites (predominantly Bristol) as required
- Provide commercial expertise based on a working knowledge of contract management/delivery.
- Support and, where suitable, lead negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to achieve agreements that are in the best interests of RBSL.
- Develop solutions to problems using logical reasoning and thought processes, and consider the merits of alternative approaches.
- Manage existing contracts with a focus on delivery, profitability, value for money, risk, and opportunities.
- Work closely with other members of the delivery teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met and RBSL’s financial and reputational position is protected.
- Ensure contract delivery complies with the business’s operational framework, and adheres to the principles of the LCM framework, ensuring comprehensive commercial risk mitigation and improved business performance.
- Provide a commercial interface for the customers on the Boxer MIV and CR3 contracts.
- Create and present analysis, interpretation, and overviews of the Business’s contractual and commercial positions for endorsement or direction from stakeholders.
- Ensure contractual compliance with security restrictions and export controls.
- Adhere to SHE obligations and standard business working instructions.
Profil
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with suitable communication and analytical skills.
- Commercial and/or legal background.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative with a focus on delivery.
- Demonstrable understanding of commercial principles.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills (both internal and external).
- Ability to work as part of effective multi-functional project teams.
- Understanding and experience of handling complex contracts.
- Qualified to degree standard/equivalent level or with extensive relevant experience.
- Defence background preferred but not essential.
