Aufgaben

As Director of Financial Crime Risk Management, you will be responsible for steering the Lunar’s strategic approach to financial crime, ensuring robust frameworks that not only meet but anticipate regulatory requirements. You will act as a key advisor to senior leadership, while leading and mentoring your team.

You will lead a highly skilled team of 8 Financial Crime experts. The team is collaborative, technically strong, and your role will be to inspire, mentor, and enable them to deliver with both strategic foresight and operational excellence.

You will report directly to the VP of Financial Crime Prevention and will be based in either Copenhagen or Århus.

Key focus areas:

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the Financial Crime Risk Management team, fostering expertise and collaboration.
• Advisory: Provide expert Financial Crime Prevention guidance to senior management and executives.
• Policy Development: Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of FCP policies and procedures across jurisdictions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of emerging regulatory trends and ensure full adherence to all relevant requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks across the business.

Profil

We are looking for a candidate with a strong leadership track record and the ability to influence at the highest levels. You bring a mix of strategic foresight and operational depth, combined with authenticity and presence.

Your profile includes:

• Proven leadership track record within financial services or fintech
• Risk Management experience, ideally spanning multiple disciplines (transaction monitoring, sanctions, AML, etc.) within Financial Crime Prevention
• Strong academic background and solid knowledge of financial crime regulations
• Ability to combine strategic perspective with a hands-on approach
• Exceptional communicator and influencer, you can inspire and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Agile and change-orientated leader, thriving in fast-moving environments while making confident, firm decisions
• Fluent in English, Danish is a plus
