Manager Quality: NDT

Aufgaben

The Quality Manager NDT will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and control systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role focuses on process improvement, defect prevention, and continuous quality enhancement throughout the production cycle. This role has managing various areas including packaging, All NDT methods and mainly MPI Testing, Ultrasonic testing, systems support and COCs, traceability systems, packaging and metrology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of the automated and manual quality systems.
  • Monitoring of internal and external testing, reporting and optimizing processes for improved efficiency.
  • Monitoring of the certificate of conformance, reporting and optimizing.
  • Evaluate and interpret test results as part of a technical team.
  • Oversee the automation of the statistical quality control through the application of statistical methods.
  • Design and implement the automation of internal tests, capability studies and reject notes system.
  • Supplier verification of manufacturing activities.
  • Internal audits and management of the audits thereof.
  • Internal process qualifications.
  • Management of all in NDT process and final products and packaging product quality together with the relevant teams of these areas.
  • Managing of packaging and systems thereof
  • Management and supervision of staff
  • Ability and willingness to support Boksburg operations after hours if required
  • Manage and co-ordinate metrology team and ensure full plant support and planning.
  • Planning, management and co-ordination of NDT Testing, metrology, packaging and COCs.

Profil

  • BSc/ BEng/BTech Engineering qualification in in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic/Informatics or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.
  • Either MPI Level 2 or UT Level 2 or NDT diploma would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Manufacturing environment of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory level or have reportees.
  • Good problem-solving skills, customer liaison skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • A logical, flexible, self-motivated, reliable, well-spoken individual with thoroughness and tenacity.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply the MS Office Software, especially Word & Excel packages are essential.
  • Mechanical inspection experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and work shifts and weekends.
  • Supervisory experience and managing off shift.
