Job: Material Handler

Material handling support to warehouse and production operations.

• Unloads inbound freight into designated receiving area. Verifies that freight matches all documentation and no transit damage has occurred. Notes damage on freight bills and advises warehouse supervision prior to departure of driver.
• Executes needed transport orders in operating system.
• Communicates with members of other departments to ensure efficient flow of materials through the internal value stream.
• Ensures that required quality inspections have been performed and material released prior to transporting to warehouse storage bins.
• Transports raw material to production lines as needed to support builds. Returns unused raw material to warehouse if needed.
• Transports finished goods from production lines to designated storage or staging areas.
• Prepares finished goods for outbound shipments to customers and verifies physical load matches documentation including product labeling. Loads trucks with correct materials as per documentation.
• Transports scrap and rejected material to designated storage areas.
• Prepares non-hazardous waste for shipment through approved vendors.
• Empties scrap and recycling bins regularly as needed.
• Supports inventory counting procedures as necessary.

• High School Diploma/GED

• Fork lift operator’s license, or ability to obtain

• 1+ year material handling or manufacturing experience

• Ability to work multi shift and weekends as needed to support production plan

• Analytical and problem solving skills

• Basic computer knowledge
