- Perform whole-engine performance simulations and analyses for steady-state and transient operating conditions
- Evaluate engine behaviour related to performance, operability, system design and engine operation
- Develop and apply 1D thermodynamic, physics-based and empirical models
- Analyse engine and test data to verify system and performance requirements
- Plan, support and evaluate engine performance testing
- Support engine certification activities, including the definition and verification of performance requirements
- Investigate complex performance issues and develop technical solutions to improve engine and product performance
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation and presentations
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across areas such as thermodynamics, aerodynamics, systems engineering and component development
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, customers, aircraft manufacturers and regulatory authorities
- Contribute to the development of engineering methods, processes and best practices in the field of engine performance
Profil
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science or a comparable technical discipline
- Professional or academic experience related to jet engines, gas turbines or propulsion system performance
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and ideally aerodynamics
- Experience with engine performance modelling, simulation or analysis
- Knowledge of tools such as NPSS, GasTurb, GTlab, or comparable engine simulation tools is an advantage
- Programming or modelling experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, SQL, or comparable tools is beneficial
- Experience working in an engineering or regulated technical environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach complex technical challenges systematically
- Ability to work effectively within international and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with technical stakeholders
- Fluent English, written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage but not essential

Gehaltsinformationen
- This position is subject to the GVP collective agreement and is classified in pay grade 8. The final compensation package will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant professional experience
