Job: Purchasing Manager (m/f/d)

• Working closely with specialist departments, in particular quality management
• Set-up of team structure
• Coordinating and handling projects with internal and external partners
• Compliance with purchasing regulations (compliance rules, business partner rules, legal framework, etc.)
• Support with purchasing reporting, e.g. KPIs, supplier evaluation, etc., Set up Master data maintenance, order confirmation and invoice verification
• Lead general supplier affairs, e.g. claim management, analysis of potential suppliers, resourcing, financial Improvement, processes etc.
• Lead negotiation considering all purchasing criteria (review purchase requests, prepare bidders list, and select suppliers, evaluate quotes etc.)
• Management of material costs and related planning in order to achieve targets as well as guarantee financial control over the programs (on component level)
• Establishment of correspondence to suppliers, business representatives, and agencies and drive proven contract management and its acceptance in the local environment

• Successfully completed studies in engineering, mechanical engineering, economics or comparable
• At least 3-5 years in purchasing experience and at least 2 years inside a defense company
• Strong Leadership Skills, 2-5 years in team management experience
• Experience in two of the following commodities is a distinct advantage for this position: Castings (Capex, chemicals, steel, steel forging, machining)
• Knowledge of technical drawings reading
• Have an open and flexible approach, willing to work in constantly evolving / growing environments and accept the challenge
• Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people and to lead negotiations
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Fluent in English is a must, second language is an advantage
