Our modular, high-performance robotic solutions enable manufacturers to automate faster, more flexibly, and more cost-effectively than ever before. With over $58 million in funding from top-tier VCs like Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed, we are building the category-leading robotics company in Europe and the US.

Your Mission

As a Senior 3D Perception Engineer – Robotics (m/f/d), you will build the perception capabilities that allow RobCo’s modular robots to understand and interact with complex industrial environments.

Your primary focus will be 6D object pose estimation for challenging real-world tasks such as bin picking and precise manipulation in cluttered scenes. You will bridge cutting-edge computer vision research with production-grade software, ensuring perception algorithms are robust, scalable, and ready for industrial deployment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop 6D pose estimation algorithms for robotic manipulation, bin picking, and localized grasping in cluttered environments

  • Build robust perception systems that operate reliably under variable lighting and factory-floor conditions

  • Design scalable perception architectures with clean data flow between vision modules and robot control systems

  • Integrate perception into robotic systems in close collaboration with robotics, controls, and software teams

  • Train and deploy ML-based vision models for object detection, keypoint detection, and scene understanding

  • Optimize performance on real hardware, including GPUs and edge devices

  • Test and debug on robots in tight feedback loops between simulation and real-world setups

  • Mentor junior engineers and uphold high standards in code quality, testing, and documentation

Profil

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, AI, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in computer vision or robotics perception
Deep expertise in 3D perception and 6D pose estimation, especially for robotic manipulation or bin picking

  • Strong background in point cloud processing, multi-view geometry, and camera calibration

  • Production-level proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS 2

  • Experience training and deploying ML-based vision models in real-world systems

  • Hands-on experience with vision hardware (industrial cameras, RGB-D sensors) and GPU-accelerated pipelines

  • Pragmatic, hands-on mindset with comfort debugging directly on real robots

Wir bieten

  • Work on cutting-edge 3D perception for real industrial robotics applications

  • See your algorithms run on live robotic systems — from lab to factory floor

  • Collaborate with a world-class, international engineering team

  • High ownership, fast decision-making, and strong engineering culture

  • Hybrid work model, flexible hours, competitive compensation, and rapid growth opportunities

Join RobCo and build the perception systems that power the next generation of modular industrial robots.
