Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d)

As a (Senior) Data Engineer (m/w/d), you will be designing and developing production-grade data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning solutions. You will interface with many technical experts in the company to understand their data, match them to the business requirements, and develop your solutions.

YOUR TASKS

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient and secured data architectures and data pipelines for wind measurement and master data from multiple sources and formats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including data scientists) to understand data requirements and provide optimized data solutions
  • Design and Implement data quality and governance processes and policy to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data
  • Provide guidance on adoption on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
  • Coaching more junior Data Engineers

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5+ years proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-intensive role including at least 2 years as data architect
  • Proven experience in ETL, Data Lake, and data warehousing
  • Expert level skills in SQL, SQL Server, SSIS and SSAS (OLAP Cubes), Azure SQL and data bricks
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Working experience with CI/CD workflows preferably Azure DevOPS and git
  • Good programming skills in languages such as R, Python or Scala
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a team-oriented mindset
  • Very good verbal and written English language
  • Experience in the wind industry or renewables is an added advantage
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
