Aufgaben
- Leadership: Cross-location management of the Functional Safety Management team. Establishment, promotion, and further development of Functional Safety Managers (m/f/d) at all relevant locations
- Functional Safety Management: Responsibility for the implementation of functional safety requirements for safety life cycles and standard requirements. Ensuring delivery excellence in relation to functional safety management through structured planning, including cost estimation, risk management, and process optimization.
- Innovation: Safety-related support for innovative solutions and safety concepts for the technologies and products of tomorrow (e.g., software-defined defense, new E/E architecture, E/E platform, etc.).
- Partners & Stakeholders: Maintaining strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships; professional communication at all management levels up to executive level
- Organizational Development: Establishing efficient cross-location structures, promoting leadership excellence, and continuously improving the team
- Skill Building: Building and developing the skills of the cross-location team to ensure future products and innovations
This position can be filled at our location in Kiel or Kassel.
Profil
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, (engineering) computer science, mechatronics, physics, automotive engineering, or another STEM or comparable field
- Professional experience in establishing and leading teams
- Experience in functional safety and in the defense, automotive, aviation, railway, or comparable industries
- In-depth knowledge of IEC 61508 or ISO 26262 (planning and application) and common development processes and methods, especially with regard to the integration of functional safety
- Experience and knowledge of common safety concepts such as the 3-level concept, 2oo2D, etc.
- Experience with development processes and modern development methods, especially with regard to the integration of functional safety
- Strong communication skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel
